Helio Oliveira is a seasoned executive with over 30 years of leadership experience in procurement, supply chain, and commercial operations across the retail and foodservice sectors.  As Vice President, Operations at Foodbuy Canada, Helio leads strategic initiatives focused on onboarding new business, optimizing processes, maximizing procurement value, and strengthening business partnerships. 

His leadership is defined by a relentless commitment to operational excellence, client value creation, relationship management, team empowerment, and results-driven strategy execution. 

Since joining Compass Group Canada in 2013, Helio has held progressive leadership roles within Foodbuy, including Category Development and Account Management.  His ability to align cross-functional teams with business objectives has consistently driven growth, profitability, and service innovation. 

Helio’s career began in retail, where he advanced into management roles before transitioning to corporate leadership at Walmart Canada, progressing through replenishment and merchandising roles at Sam’s Club.  He later led national and international procurement initiatives at United Services Group, managing complex logistics and vendor networks. 

He holds MCIPS, SCMP, and CSCL designations in procurement and supply chain, and is a proud recipient of the Compass Group Canada CEO Award of Business Excellence.  Helio resides in the Greater Toronto Area with his wife and two dogs.
