As Vice President, Member Development at Foodbuy Canada, Helio leads the Procurement Services Group comprised of Account Management and Category Business Management. Since joining Compass Group Canada in July of 2013, Helio has held various roles within Foodbuy including Category Management and leading the Business Implementation team. Helio is a results-driven individual who focuses on providing value to his clients, empowering people and building teams.

Helio began his corporate career in 2003 at Walmart Canada working as an inventory analyst at Sam’s Club before being promoted to Merchandise Assistant in 2005 and Associate Buyer in 2006. In 2009, Helio joined United Services Group as Purchasing Manager overseeing national and international projects as well as leading the logistics team.

Helio obtained his certified supply chain designation in 2017 graduating with honors through Supply Canada, formerly Supply Chain Management Association. In 2018 Helio received the Compass Group Canada CEO Award of Business Excellence, an award to recognize individuals who demonstrate unwavering commitment to service excellence, driving profitability and inspiring collaboration. Helio is married with two dogs and resides in the Greater Toronto Area.
