Tracey Downs leads up the human resources team at Foodbuy.  Tracey and team are responsible for ensuring best in class candidate and associate experience for the entire employee life cycle—from interview and onboarding to associate development and milestone anniversaries.

Tracey has been a part of the Compass Group family since 2010.  Prior to this role, Tracey oversaw the Compass Group Employment Compliance and Projects team that supported legal compliance with current and emerging laws for all Compass’ 240,000+ associates in all 50 states.  Tracey’s passion for developing winning teams lead her to Foodbuy where she entered officially into human resources after 10 years as an employment attorney.

Tracey attended Colgate University for her undergraduate degree and received her Juris Doctorate from University of Richmond.  She is originally from Kansas City but now calls Charlotte, NC home where she resides with her husband and two rambunctious sons. When not chasing her sons, she loves to read, travel, and try out different martinis.
