Russell Procopio joined Foodbuy in April of 2018 as President of Foodbuy, LLC. In this role, Russell oversees the strategic growth and development of the member business of the Foodbuy portfolio. Throughout his 25-year career, Russell has held a number of leadership and executive roles over five organizations, each with a strong emphasis on driving growth and revenue through new business development and implementation to deliver results.
Prior to joining Foodbuy, Russell served as Chief Revenue Officer for Recovery Centers of America where he was responsible for revenue generating initiatives that delivered over $100M of growth opportunity for the organization.
In 2014, Russell served as the SVP of Sales & Marketing at Aramark Healthcare, where he accelerated rapid business growth and boosted global market performance. In this role, he produced over $300M in new business and $350M in contract renewals. Before being recruited to Aramark, Russell held the role of Group Vice President of Sales at AmerisourceBergen Corporation.
In early 2000, Russell was recruited at Johnson & Johnson where he received multiple vertical promotions, including serving as the Marketing Product Director where he generated $100M+ in sales after successfully steering the launch of new product developments.
Earlier in his career, Russell wrote a book entitled “There’s No Such Thing as a Commodity Market – A Practice Guide to Combine Marketing Mindset and Simple Principles to Differentiate in Highly Competitive Markets.”
Russell holds a Master of Business Administration from Widener University and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance & Accounting from Saint Joseph University. Russell has two teenage sons that currently attend Saint Joseph’s Preparatory School in Philadelphia, PA. One will be attending Loyola Marymount University in the fall of 2018 and the other Boston College in 2019 where he will play Rugby. His sidekick is his boxer, Rocky, named for his tough look but gentle demeanor.
